Alan Sinclair

Alan Sinclair retired after 31 years of Federal service spending 18 years with the United States Forest Service and 13 as the Fire Management Officer for the Pima and Salt River Agencies of the Bureau of Indian Affairs in Arizona. He served as the Type II Incident Commander for Southwest Area Team #3 from 2016-2018 and as one of 17 National Type I Incident Commanders with Southwest Area Team #1 from 2019-2021.

Alan has mentored several Type 3 All Hazard teams including the 2015 City of Glendale Pro Bowl & Super Bowl Team, the city of Avondale NASCAR team, the Gila River Indian Community Type III team and in 2020, the Navajo Nations COVID management team.

Alan was the Chair of the All Hazard Steering Committee for The Arizona Department of Emergency Management and military affairs, which outlined the needs for a state wide system to train, credential, and track Type 3 All Hazard qualifications for state resources. He has since been involved in the creator of the Arizona Qualifications System and is a member of the state wide Qualification Review Board.

Alan has spoken Internationally about ICS and has provided training abroad in Europe, Africa, and South America.
